I fell off the blogging wagon about ten weeks ago and realise it is a bit like falling off a gym or diet regime. So without further ado these are a few of the cakes I have made in that time.
The Vegas theme was requested for a 30 year old's birthday. It really was great fun to do and with so many moulds around it was easy to get a good look.
The music themed cake was created at such short notice I am amazed it turned out so well. Fondant covered kit-kats for the piano keys and a spaghetti maker to roll the black fondant evenly and voilà. I normally use fondant instead of Swiss buttercream for top layer but was happy with the finished effect given it was my first time.
Final one for this blog- THE best chocolate cake EVER- according to my expert tasters, my daughters. The double chocolate cake recipe is from Miette, named after the San Francisco bakery,
