I won't be cooking for many weeks, so what do I do with my baking blog?! I am off round the world, first stop Hong Kong. Hope you enjoy some of my culinary blogs from hotels, restaurants and first off, Cathay pacific airline.


First time travelling with Cathay and I have to say impressed- I think the level of service it is how British Airways used to be! It is hard (impossible) to get airline food which wows and depending on the length and time of flight, I often think it is a good idea to pass. For the purposes of review though, I said yes.

The main course looked like a dog's dinner so no photo.

The cheese dish (below) would have been better if it had been out of the fridge longer. Comment like this remind me that Chinese don't 'do' dairy but when I felt the temperature of my clothes when unpacking at my hotel I realise the hold in the plane was sub zero, along with the cheese!

This was a mushroom crêp, one of the breakfast options, which I only sampled. Coffee was good and enough in preparation for landing, immigration, luggage collection and hotel transfer!

Promise to follow this better restaurant reviews.
