Golden berries- Apparently these little babies can help you burn belly fat – well, my belly certainly needs shedloads of that. Anyways, not being a dedicated Dr Oz follower I only found this out while doing a google search AFTER I had picked them up in Wholefoods this week. I will report back on any shrinking! I find them quite bitter so you don't really want a lot of them. I read on google search that they were produced on small family farms in Colombia ….mmmm
I added them to an amazing smoothie and also to an steel cut oat based muesli. Having just finished reading David Gillespie's Sweet Poison, I am trying again to cut sugar to a minimum – tough when you blog about baking. I am going to investigate using the fructose substitute, dextrose, in recipes and intend to report back. Meanwhile, finding it (dextrose) is proving difficult!
I have to sneak some things into Mr N's healthy breakfast- if he doesn't know it's there he generally eats it drinks it, but green is a big give away colour!
