Photographic proof that I have had no time to blog since I got back to guernsey two weeks ago. I had over 100 traditional rich fruit Christmas cakes to marzipan and ice, and that was just for starters. My wonderful ‘partner in crime’ Jan and I decided to take a popup shop in St Peter Port to raise money for the children’s ward at the Princess Elizabeth Hospital, and the wonderful charity Mary’s Meals. It was hard work to open and stock the shop for 6 days, but the final total £2500+ ($3900) made it worthwhile. We have raised a similar amount from just one day in previous years but a big chunk of that was money made from a tombola and serving teas and coffee with snacks, none of which we could do in the small shop space.
We are grateful to OSA Recruitment who offer the space free of charge to charities- a nice gesture!
Normal life may resume 🙂
