E is for..

I love elderflower and as E 's are a bit thin on the ground in terms of great baking entries, I give you elderflower. The slightly alcohlic version St Germain is wonderful- in champagne, gin, lemonade- oh heck in anything!

One of my very early posts was of an elderflower genoise and the link is here Elderflower genoise | vannillarock. Revisiting early posts is a shocker- the photography, the layout, ouch, the everything- it is however a very nice cake, and there is no getting away from now nice elderflower is.

Have a wonderful day.

I love Elderflower syrup, especially in the summer with sparkling water. Have you ever tried elderflower pancakes? You would need fresh flowers for that one though.

  2. They like elderflower in Sweden and often use it in drinks! Interesting in baking!

It’s a popular English drink – very summery. Lots of wild elderflower grows wild in guernsey.
      Thanks for the comment 🙂
