A-Z challenge ….R is for rum, rye and raspberries…..

A to Z challenge, baking, cake

Some of my most popular posts have involved alcohol- why is that a surprise, you are saying! The wonderful gin and lemon cake, or Cointreau laced sorbets. This chocolate rum cake is a winner , moist and VERY chocolatey, what more is there to know.

You can find the recipe here Chocolate rum cake

Why does Caribbean rum and R bring to mind possibly the worst pirate joke ever??

Q Why are pirates called pirates?

A because they aRRRRRRRRR

i know , it’s oh so corny, but I got to include a lot of Rs.

If you’d prefer something savoury, look no further than Rye and Raisin bread- double R making it doubly appropriate for the challenge . The post can be found here Raisin and rye bread

In response to Blogging from A to Z April Challenge

It seems rude not to sneak in a perfect little macaron, and raspberry ones come in my top 6. Dried raspberries explode with flavour and give you the opportunity to create a really flavoursome taste without the liquid ( which you don’t want in a macaron)

This macaron variation can be found here Raspberry macarons

I do hope you have enjoyed my selection of Rs. Can’t wait to get to S 🙂

Welcome to my blog! After a L O N G break from blogging during which Instagram (vannilla)took over my life, I am returning in a more varied format. Yes, I will bake and have been a Thermomix users from the days before it was cult-like. I'll share the best but I will also include that other hobby in my life, photography from my small island and beyond. If you like what you see, I'd love to hear from you! Anne
