I travel a lot and therefore I eat out a lot! This page is partly to remind me of some of the wonderful places I have enjoyed- I KNOW, I KNOW some people hate diners photographing their food!
The Hotel Marqués de Riscal, Elciego, in the heart of Rioja country, Northern Spain is quite special and I would urge you to take a detour there if you are anywhere in the area. It is a popular destination, so if you would like to stay, I advise you book well in advance. Frank Gehry’s architecture is breathtaking
We dined at the Michelin starred chef’s table, a set tasting menu where several of the courses are prepared, cooked, and perfectly displayed near your table. You are on a private balcony with the most fabulous views over the vineyards and the town.
Let’s take a photographic journey through some of the courses and let the shots speak for themselves.
